Johanna Tikkanen hails from Finland where she was a member of the Finnish National Team (2008-2012). After retiring from ski racing in 2016, she began her career in coaching. This will be Johanna's second season coaching with ISRA. Prior to joining ISRA, Johanna coached the FIS team at Cardrona Alpine Ski Team in New Zealand. She has also worked at Austria Racing Camps, Mt. Buller Race Club and World Ski Connection.
After leaving the national team, she went on to ski for Sierra Nevada University where she was the team captain for a season and a three-time All American. Johanna graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Some of Johanna’s career highlights include: being the Youngest FIS Ski Racing Event Winner in history, winning the Trofeo Topolino GS in 2007, and achieving individual Junior National Championship victories in GS, SG and DH.
