Johanna Tikkanen hails from Helsinki where she was a member of the Finland National Team (2008-2012). After recently retiring from ski racing, she began her career in coaching. This past season, Johanna worked with World Ski Connection, where she coached U14s and U16s competing in International Children’s races. Previously, Johanna coached with the Alpine Training Center, the Cardrona Alpine Ski Team, the Hugo Nindl Austria Racing Camp, and the Mount Buller Race Club.
After leaving the national team, she went on to ski for Sierra Nevada College where she was the team captain for a season and a three-time All American. Johanna graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Some of Johanna’s career highlights include: being the Youngest FIS Ski Racing Event Winner in history, winning the Topolino GS in 2007, and achieving individual Junior National Championship victories in GS, SG and DH.
